Aerators & Scarifiers
Aerators, scarifiers and rotavators are petrol machines for lawn and garden work. Aerators punch holes in compacted ground to help grass breathe. Scarifiers comb out dead moss and thatch. Rotavators break and prepare soil before seeding or turfing.
We carry a 660 mm aerator at 147 kg, a 420 mm scarifier at 63 kg, a rotavator, a post-hole borer, a stone rake, and a moss brush. All are half-day or day hire. Collect from either depot or have it delivered.
Hire periods are half day, day, 2 days, weekend (Fri–Mon, pay 1½ days) or week (7 days for the price of 3). Related classes: Mowers and Ride-On Mowers.

Questions
- Will an aerator fit on my garden?
- The narrowest is 420 mm wide, the widest 660 mm. Measure your gate or access. If it's tight, a smaller machine might not be available, so ring 047 20500 or 042 6000 377 to check before booking.
- What's the minimum hire?
- Half day. Aerators, scarifiers and rotavators are all available half-day or longer. Weekend and week hires are also available if you want to keep the machine on site for several days.
- Do I need a deposit?
- A deposit may apply on cash hires. You can open a cash account online in minutes with photo ID and proof of address, or ring for a trade credit account by invitation.
